I enjoyed this one more than I expected. The first 2 chapters were really repetitive to me, but once I moved on, the story flowed nicely. I honestly cannot wait to read the next book. I didn't realize this was book 2, so I'll definitely be picking up book 1 soon. Mia was a likeable character. I think her character growth was done nicely. I would have loved to learn more about Jackson, but hopefully book one will touch back to him a bit. I also adore Noah! I also think the overall message of this book was nice. I just wished there was more story detail. I also feel like there were still some loose ends that needed to be tied, but hopefully they'll be tied in book 3! At times the book felt like a bit of a mess and confused me, but it didn't ruin the overall experience.

Ruin by Jolie Vines My rating: 4 of 5 stars Ruin by Jolie Vines is an emotional and intense romance with a lot of promise, but it fell a bit short for me in execution. While the overall premise is gripping and the connection between the main characters is undeniable, the pacing felt uneven at times.
