Review: Club Luxe 1: The Private Room
Club Luxe 1: The Private Room by Olivia NobleMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Okay, I went in expecting smut and walked out with feelings. How dare you, Olivia Noble.
Full disclosure: erotic romance is not usually my genre. But it was on sale, I took a shot, and now I have a problem because I need the rest of this series immediately.
Victoria Chase is the kind of heroine I root for immediately. She’s bold, she’s driven, and she walks into an underground billionaire sex club for a story like the unhinged girlboss she is. I respect it. And then Malcolm Cage shows up and ruins everything (in the best way). The man has one rule: he doesn’t participate; he only watches, and Victoria blows that rule to pieces just by existing—Chef’s kiss.
The tension between these two is unreal. It’s not just steamy (though yes, absolutely steamy), there’s genuine push and pull, power games, and a slow-burn quality that kept me glued even through a short read. Malcolm is dark and enigmatic in a way that makes you want to know everything about him while also knowing he’s probably going to wreck you emotionally. Classic.
My only complaint? It ends too soon. This is clearly a serialized read, so if you go in knowing you’ll be reaching for book 2 right away, you’ll be fine. Just have it ready. Don’t make my mistake.
If you love a grumpy/broody billionaire, a heroine who refuses to be a pushover, and tension so thick you could cut it, start here. I’ll be in the Club Luxe series for the foreseeable future.
